You don't know this yet, since this is my first post and all, but sunflowers are my favorite flowers. Ever since I was a little girl, I've loved them. I was convinced that I had sunflowers growing in my eyeballs! Not kidding! I have golden "petals" that surround my pupils aka sunflower eyeballs. Anyway, a coworker let me know that a sunflower trail & festival went on in a small town near me! A whole festival devoted to these big beauties! I was so excited about this event, and let's be honest, what's my first thought upon receiving an invitation to any event, be it a small town festival or a royal wedding..? What will I wear?! I found this adorable floral printed, off-the-shoulder top with an elastic neckline at TJ Maxx before I caught wind of the Sunflower Trail, and knew this was the perfect occasion for its debut. I paired it with destroyed, black, high-waisted denim shorts to contrast the super feminine top. I threw on my favorite fringed sandals to toss in a little "festival vibe" and topped the whole outfit off with a long tassel necklace from Charlotte Russe. To complete the overall look, I fishtailed my hair & was on my way to sunflower heaven. They were literally the size of my head! ...but if you don't mind my candor, I prefer ones with the brown center! Shhh! I'm growing some in a couple of pots on my outdoor patio.
